Bike & ATV Championship Pull & ATV Drag Race Rules September 9, 2006 Rain Date September 10, 2006
Entry: 1) General Admission fee is $5 for each person regardless of age. 2) Entry fee is $15 for each class entered. (See General Rules # 3 & 4)
Driver Requirements: 1) All Drivers must wear a DOT approved helmet, long pants, shirt and shoes. (No sandals) 2) All contestants must sign waiver. 3) Any contestant under 18 years of age must have a parent/guardian signature and the parent/guardian must be present at the event. Contestant minimum age is 14 years. Proof of age will be required. 4) All participants must attend the drivers meeting. 5) All participants must obey event officials at all times.
General Rules: 1) Unsafe equipment will not be permitted to compete in any event. 2) Equipment that does not meet the class requirements will not be allowed to compete. 3) ATV Pull Classes – ATV can only be entered once per class. ATV can move up as many cc classes as you want, but you cannot go down. 4) ATV Drag Race Classes – ATV can be entered up to two times per class. ATV can move up as many cc classes as you want, but you cannot go down. 5) All Classes will follow this rule except for the Open Drag Race Class. - No added weight. No riders allowed. No nitrous oxide, alcohol, or nitro-methane. No suspension is allowed to be ratcheted or strapped. No tires with tread bars running the full width of tires. Brakes and throttle control must be in good working order. 6) Open Drag Race Class - Nitrous oxide, alcohol, or nitro-methane will be allowed. Any tire will be allowed. Any suspension will be allowed. No riders allowed. 7) Driver must stay flat on the seat at all times with both hands on the handlebars. No bouncing up and down while pulling. You will be disqualified for this. 8) Maximum hitch height of 16.5 inches. 9) Pulling position card must be displayed on front of ATV/Bike. 10) When class is to start, all contestants will get in order of pulling position. 11) ATV/Bike must stay within their track boundaries during their pull or race, or they will be disqualified. 12) No intentional snaking or weaving during the pulls will be allowed. 13) Decision of the track judge is final and shall not be appealable, provided however that with a showing of reasonable and good cause the track judge may, without liability, reverse his decision. 14) In the ATV classes no three wheelers, mules, rangers, six wheelers, tracks, dual wheels, chains or studs will be allowed. In the bike classes no chains or studs will be allowed. 15) Alcohol consumption by drivers will not be allowed before or during the event. 16) Contestants enter the contest at their own risk and are responsible for injuries/damages caused by them or their ATV/Bike. 17) Unsportsmanlike conduct or disrespect on the part of any contestant or crewmember will not be tolerated. If any contestant or crewmember disobeys an official or knowingly disregards a rule, that contestant shall be disqualified, forfeit all monies, and shall be requested to leave. 18) Unsafe operation, reckless driving or excessive speed of any vehicle anywhere within the confines of the track, pits or on event grounds will not be permitted. This will be cause for disqualification and removal from the grounds. The determination of speeding or reckless driving shall rest solely with the Grundy County Fair or its designated representative. 19) No refunds of entry fees or general admissions will be granted for any reason.
The Grundy County Fair reserves the final and absolute right to interpret these rules and regulations and to arbitrarily settle and determine all matters, questions or differences in regard thereto. The Grundy County Fair shall further reserve the right to amend or add to these rules when in its judgment, it may so determine as necessary. The Grundy County Fair further reserves the right to withdraw any offerings, whether in whole or part should circumstances demand. Grundy County Fair assumes absolutely no responsibility for personal injury or loss or damage to personal property.
